school is on a frontage road that is a quick right turn off
Southampton almost before your rear tires have left Providence
Road. |

first two obvious parking opportunities are often full or restricted
or chaotic.
Proceed
to the top of the hill and turn in for ample parking space on
the North side of the school.

From I-70
East or From I-70 West:
Brief- Take exit 126. Turn South onto Providence Road. Stay on Providence
Road 5 miles until you see Rockbridge High School on the right
side
on
the South
end
of
town.
Verbose- Take exit 126. Turn South onto Providence Road.
Continue South through town, past stadiums, over
the creek to Southampton Drive.
Southampton is the third
stop light after the creek (not counting the light just below
the
bridge).
Southampton is
where
the
4-lane
ends and Rockbridge Senior High School is obvious
on your Right.
If you are on two-lane road, turn around.
Turn right at Southampton and right again even before your rear
tires get onto Southampton, a U-turn.
Take the frontage road
past the school
to
the top
of the hill and turn in. |
From
Hwy 63 North or From Highway 63 South
Brief- Take exit AC / Grindstone. Turn West onto Grindstone. Stay on Grindstone
2 miles. Turn Left on Providence Road. Go South on Providence
0.7 miles and you will see Rockbridge High School on the right.
Verbose- Take exit AC. Turn West onto Grindstone Parkway.
Grindstone is 4-lane sometimes divided. If you are on 2-lane road,
turn around.
Get into the Left lane on Grindstone Parkway before you pass Walmart
on the right.
The road name may change underneath you to Nifong. Two or three
stop-lights after Walmart is Providence Road, a major intersection
for which the lanes are scrambled.
There
are two Left turn lanes for
your
convenience
in turning Left on Providence.
If you are on 2-lane
road, turnaround.
Continue on Providence to the stoplight on Southampton.
Southampton is where the 4-lane ends and Rockbridge
Senior High School is obvious on your Right.
If you are on two-lane road, turn
around.
Turn right at Southampton and right again even before your rear
tires get onto Southampton, a U-turn.
Take the frontage road past the school to the top of the hill and turn in. |
