Must earn at least 200 Competition Points in one season.
Must be a member of the wrestling team in Good Standing.
Must attend all practices. (25 points deducted for all unexcused absences)
(To be excused, the parent or wrestler must notify coach prior to practice.
Voice mail and E-mails accepted prior to practice)
How Letter Points are Earned.
A. Varsity
1. Participation = 10 points
2. Forfeit = 12 points (No Byes) Forfeit is defined as a wrestler who has weighed in, but for whatever reason cannot wrestle.
3. Decision = 15 points
4. Major Decision = 18 points
5. Technical Fall = 20 points
6. Pin = 25 points
B. Junior Varsity
1. Decision = 5 points
2. Major Decision = 8 points
3. Technical Fall = 10 points
4. Pin = 15 points
C. "C" Team
1. Decision = 1 points
2. Major Decision = 3 points
3. Technical Fall = 6 points
4. Pin = 9 points
D. Grades
1. A = 10 points each
2. B = 5 points each
3. C = 0 points
4. D AND F = -5 points each
E. Other
1. Working the State Wrestling Tournament = 10 points per day
F. Coach's Discretion
1. Three (3) years of hard work and dedication to the wrestling team
2. Team Leadership
3. Making noticeable improvement from the prior year |

Each student athlete must complete a physical form, an athletic handbook form, a citizenship form, and a personal data form.
Student athletes and their parents are asked to read all materials carefully and complete/sign where appropriate.
Parent meetings for each season's sports will be coordinated by the athletic director (Jennifer Mast) and coaches at 6:30 PM on the following approx dates:
August 5, (Fall Sports)
October 28, (Winter Sports)
February 24, (Spring Sports)
* Turn in of all paperwork will be at that time if you have not already done so.
Forms available outside the RBHS Athletic Office and during the summer in the Main Office.
No student athlete will be allowed to participate until eligibility is verified.
Specific things checked for each student athlete:
Birth date
Residence
Complete physical
Signed citizenship forms
Signed form from the Athletic Handbook
Credits received from the previous semester
Fall semester schedule to ensure each student is a full-time student
Transfer students from Hickman attendance area to Rock Bridge High School.
Students new to Columbia in the past 365 days (in this situation, we will
need to know the name and address of the school last attended) |
